Research on entrepreneurship has grown significantly in the past decade and now covers a wide variety of topics and concerns. Developments in the field of artificial intelligence have both positive and negative impacts on sustainable development. The current debate on sustainable development emphasizes the importance of environmental, behavioral goals, and economic models for achieving sustainable goals, especially in underdeveloped nations. However, recently, researchers have proposed the use of algorithms and models based on artificial intelligence (AI) to achieve sustainable development goals. In this context, the aim of this study is to describe the fundamental role of AI in contributing to sustainable development. To achieve this goal, we have collected data from the Scopus database (1994-2022) containing a total of 482 research articles. The studies reveal the most basic patterns of study and enable the visual mapping of “thematic maps” to recommend several new research directions. The results of this paper indicate that there is a positive relationship between AI and environmental development on sustainable entrepreneurship.
