The desirable development of science and technology in the country requires optimal management and coordination at the national and regional levels, economic sectors, and industrial and service enterprises. In this regard, scientific associations, as one of the intermediary links between society, economy, industry, politics, culture, art, and science, play a decisive and important role. In contemporary higher education systems, attention to improving students' individual and social skills, especially in the field of employability and career guidance, has become an undeniable necessity. One of the complementary and effective institutions in achieving this goal is student scientific associations. The present study, with the aim of explaining the role and position of scientific associations in improving students' skills and career guidance, has examined the key components of the impact of these associations on the development of professional capabilities, the expansion of communication networks, the strengthening of the spirit of participation, and the preparation of students of the National University of Skills for entering the labor market by using the method of document analysis. The findings show that the activities of scientific associations play an effective role in strengthening soft skills, increasing self-confidence, promoting critical thinking, and career capabilities, and provide a suitable platform for interaction with industry and society. The present study provides suggestions for educational policymakers to strengthen the role of scientific associations in the Iranian higher education system.
