چکیده English

This research was conducted to investigate the teachers' and students' viewpoints on agricultural majors' curriculum and employment. The statistical sample of the research consisted of 48 teachers and 327 students of technical and professional agricultural fields in the provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Razavi Khorasan, Zanjan, Kerman, Kurdistan, Golestan, Khuzestan, West Azerbaijan, Qazvin and Zanjan. The CIPP model in addition to a researcher-made questionnaire was applied to collect data in this research project. Viewpoints of the teachers and students regarding the four criteria of objectives, content, method, evaluation in agriculture education, weaknesses and strengths, threats, and opportunities in agriculture subfields were investigated. The content validity of the research tool was confirmed by a panel of experts in the field and its reliability was verified by Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient (α=0.87-0.90). The results indicated that teachers and students considered the aforementioned criteria as satisfactory. The participants considered lack of motivation, lack of equipment, low level of teachers' knowledge and practical skills, repetitive courses, no link between theoretical and practical sections of courses and failure to correctly evaluate competency as the main weaknesses.
