This paper explores the increasing role of mobile-based platforms in teaching coding to beginners, allowing learners to practice and develop coding skills independently, without the need for traditional computers or instructor-led guidance. As smartphones become more affordable and widespread, these platforms offer valuable educational opportunities, particularly for students in underserved areas with limited access to technological tools like laptops or professional teachers. The study reviews popular platforms such as SoloLearn, Grasshopper, and Codecademy, focusing on their use of online compilers and interactive, gamified methods to facilitate coding education. It evaluates the strengths and challenges of these tools, noting that while they provide greater accessibility and flexibility, especially in disadvantaged regions, limitations such as small screen sizes can make writing and debugging complex code more difficult. Additionally, the paper compares mobile-based coding instruction with traditional teaching methods that involve direct interaction with instructors and desktop computers. The aim is to assess the effectiveness of these mobile platforms in providing beginners with essential coding skills and to identify areas for improvement that could further enhance the mobile coding learning experience, particularly for students who lack access to conventional educational infrastructure.
